Suñer wines and oils

Our home

Four generations, one origin

Since 1936, building a family project in Ginestar.

Tradition that goes way back

At Ginestar, at the heart of the Ribera d’Ebre, our family has always been tied to the land.

In the year 1936, our great-grandfather, Manuel Suñer, established the family mill and began producing extra virgin olive oil. At the same time, they work their own vineyards and produce bulk wine, following the traditional way of understanding wine in the region.

With him, a project is born based on effort, perseverance, and respect for the natural rhythm of the earth.

The second generation, with Fernando Suñer, consolidates and expands on the work done: new lands, new facilities, and the continuity of the mill and vineyards, maintaining the same commitment to the land.

Each generation has contributed its grain of sand, understanding that what we received was not just an activity, but a responsibility.

Evolve without losing your origins

With the third generation, the project continues to advance naturally.

In 1999, Manuel Suñer rebuilt the old winery located on the ground floor of the family home to begin a select and limited bottled production. This is a new way of expressing the same winemaking vocation that has always accompanied us, and which remains alive with the work in our Macabeo vineyards.

Over the years, the mill and winery have been modernized with new investments and technical improvements that have allowed for the refinement of olive oil and wine production processes. Always with discretion, but with a constant focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Because for us, evolving doesn't mean breaking with the past.
It means to take care of it and make it progress.

A new shared stage

Together, third and fourth generations, we have made a firm commitment to share our home: promoting wine and olive tourism and creating tourist accommodations that allow visitors to calmly experience the essence of the Ribera d'Ebre.

In this new phase, the fourth generation is actively joining the family project. Mª Alba Suñer, the winery's oenologist, brings a professional and rigorous perspective to the winemaking process, working with sensitivity to achieve fresh, elegant wines that are true to our landscape. For his part, Josep Suñer is taking on responsibilities for communication, sales, and wine tourism, with the aim of opening the project's doors to everyone who visits us.

This new phase has also been made possible by the initiative of Bernardeta Mas, the driving force behind family accommodations in Ginestar. With dedication, sensitivity, and a very personal approach to hospitality, she has managed to transform two historic houses into spaces meticulously cared for with detail and good taste, where every corner conveys warmth and authenticity. Her way of understanding spaces shares the same philosophy as our wine and our oil: respect for origin, balance, and appreciation for things done well.

Because what we do is not understood solely from the product.
Understood from the landscape, from history, and from the people.

The mill as a meeting point

For generations, the mill has done more than just process olives.
You are a meeting point for farmers, territory, and craft.

Every year, farmers in our area bring their olives here because they know that we work with rigor, respect, and professionalism. Milling for individuals — both conventional and organic — has always been part of our activity.

But beyond service, there's a relationship.

Whoever brings their olives knows they will get oil from their own fruit, made with care and to the same standards we apply at home.

The mill is also conversation, exchange of experiences, and appreciation for farming.
A way to keep the bond with the land and the people who work it alive.

Generation after generation

We are four generations working the same land.
Four ways of understanding time, with the same respect for the origin.

The one who started the 1936 continue today with the same will:
Do things well, improve every day, and preserve what we have inherited.

This is our home.
A shared legacy.
