Wines

Single varietals that interpret the character of each vintage

Wines of precise expression and limited production

Responsible viticulture, precision winemaking

Our vineyards, located in Ginestar and protected by the Designation of Origin Tarragona, are managed with a respectful approach towards the soil, the landscape, and the natural cycle of the vine.

We understand viticulture as a balance between tradition and technical expertise.
We take care of the yield per hectare, the optimal harvest time, and the health status of the grapes to guarantee raw material of the highest quality.

Part of our vineyards are cultivated under certified organic farming standards by the Catalan Council of Organic Agricultural Production, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly production.

We advocate for limited, single-varietal productions of Merlot and Maccabeus, with the aim of clearly expressing the character of each variety and our territory in the Ribera d'Ebre.

In the winery, we combine oenological knowledge and current technology to ensure:

  • Manual selection of fruit in the vineyard, ensuring that only grapes in optimal condition reach the winery.
  • Tight extractions and pressing with machinery that handles grapes delicately, preserving aromas and textures.
  • Rigorous control of fermentation temperatures, adapted to each variety and style.
  • Child defined by variety and vintage, respecting the nature of the wine and enhancing the character of the grape.
  • Stabilization and bottling with minimal intervention, to preserve freshness and the expression of the terroir.

The result is balanced, elegant, and terroir-driven wines, where each label reflects a specific technical decision.

Every vintage is unique

Don't seek uniformity.
Seek expression.

That's why every harvest is different, and each bottle tells the story of a year, its climate, and a specific moment in the vineyard.

The Astruc

Features

Astruc – Escumós Ancestral of Macabeu

D.O.: Tarragona

Production 1000 vials

Grape varieties 100% Maccabeus

Preparation: Hand-harvested Macabeu grapes from old vines located in the municipality of Ginestar, in the Ribera d'Ebre region. The plot, influenced by its proximity to the Ebro River, features predominantly calcareous, well-drained soils that promote balanced ripening and good aromatic expression. The Mediterranean climate, characterized by dry summers, high insolation, and a notable diurnal temperature range, allows the grapes to retain their natural acidity and enhances their aromatic intensity.

The grapes are selected at their optimal ripeness to maintain freshness and structure. Gently pressed to obtain the flower must. Alcoholic fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Before the fermentation is fully complete, the wine is bottled with its natural residual sugars. Fermentation finishes in the bottle using the ancestral method, naturally producing carbonation. Once fermentation is complete, the wine rests on its fine lees for approximately three months, adding greater complexity and carbonation integration. Subsequently, the wine is racked to remove the spent yeast. Alcohol content: 10.50% vol.

Tasting notes: This sparkling wine faithfully expresses the typical characteristics of the Macabeo grape from Ribera d’Ebre. It presents aromas of white fruit such as apple and pear, fresh citrus notes, and a delicate floral hint, with a subtle touch of fresh bread from contact with the lees. On the palate, it is lively and balanced, with a distinct and natural acidity characteristic of Macabeo grown in this region, fine and well-integrated carbonation, and a dry, fresh finish. It reflects the character and identity of the Ginestar terroir.

Image: The name Lucky, which means "fortunate" or "lucky," symbolizes hope, perseverance, and the will to continue working the land with passion and respect. The label highlights this idea, linking good fortune with the effort and dedication required to produce quality wines. The minimalist design reinforces the deep roots in the territory and the identity as the origin of this sparkling wine.

Pairing Ideal with seafood, white fish, Mediterranean rice dishes, fresh salads, mild cheeses, and light cuisine.
